Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, actively participated in the 30th Spring Exhibition of Agricultural Products. This event, held on May 1st, took place at Badam Bagh Research Farm in Kabul, drawing attendance from various government officials, private sector representatives, and farmers. In his address at the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the significance of such exhibitions in promoting national products and facilitating marketing opportunities. He underscored that governments worldwide organize exhibitions, both domestically and internationally, to showcase and commercialize their goods—an initiative the Islamic Emirate has embraced. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, exhibitions not only stimulate a country's trade but also foster investment prospects in the agricultural sector. Acknowledging Afghanistan's ample agricultural lands and water resources for irrigation, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that despite these advantages, agricultural productivity remains subpar. To address this, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Office, in collaboration with field experts, has initiated the formulation of a comprehensive national development strategy. Once endorsed by Amir Ul Mo’mineen Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada, this strategy will be implemented to enhance the agricultural sector. Emphasizing the Islamic Emirate's prioritization of agriculture alongside industry, the Deputy PM underscored efforts to manage water resources effectively and initiate significant projects to harness their potential. Mullah Baradar Akhund assured citizens, particularly farmers, of the government's commitment to bolstering the agricultural sector, which, in turn, will bolster the nation's economy and elevate living standards. The 30th Spring Exhibition of Agricultural Products aimed to promote agricultural and industrial products, fortify the agricultural sector, and endorse domestic goods. It featured an array of items showcased across 263 booths, reflecting a concerted effort to advance Afghanistan's agricultural landscape and stimulate economic growth.
