First Deputy Prime Minister Met with Wang Yi, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan

First Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund met with Wang Yi, Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan in his office. Mr. Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar said that China and Afghanistan have remained good neighbors and have maintained mutual respect for each other's interests throughout the history. Mullah Beradar Akhund also thanked China for its humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and stressed that concrete steps must be taken for economic reconstruction in Afghanistan.

Mr. Beradar said the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is urging the international community, including China, to invest in various sectors in Afghanistan. According to him, now the security in Afghanistan is better than ever before, and the Islamic Emirate has ensured full security for investors.

"We are watching the situation in Afghanistan closely and are happy that everything has changed for the better," Chinese Ambassador Wang Yi said. He appreciated the good work done by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in various sectors, especially in eradicating the corruption. He specifically mentioned that with the help of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan the international humanitarian assistance was distributed to the needy people in a very transparent and effective manner.

The Chinese ambassador added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has also taken serious steps to clear the military lines, which will play a significant role in strengthening security.

China welcomes paying salaries for the teachers’ and ensuring full security throughout the country, and said that China is ready to continue its bilateral cooperation and relations with the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and work together for the betterment of Afghanistan.
