Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, visited Herat province

On September 2, 2022, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, along with some high-ranking government officials, traveled to Herat to participate in a massive economic gathering organized by Afghan religious scholars, tribal chiefs, businessmen, and investors.

First, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund welcomed all the guests, including scholars, tribal chiefs, investors, industrialists, national businessmen, and locals of Herat Province. He also expressed his happiness that, after decades of insecurity, the residents of Herat are now completely safe and can conduct their daily business in a peaceful environment.

Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund said that with the re-establishment of the IEA, the problems of businessmen and investors in Herat province have been solved, work opportunities have been provided for them, and full security has been maintained. This has had a good effect on their work.

He added that after the re-establishment of the IEA, Afghanistan has been able to provide opportunities for domestic and foreign investors to invest in various fields, and, Alhamdulillah, practical work has been started by investors in some areas.

The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs said, on behalf of a responsible government, I assure the businessmen and investors of Herat province that your economic plan and scheme will be at the top of our operations after evaluation and its implementation will begin as soon as possible.

At this meeting, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund informed the residents, businessmen, and investors of Herat that in the near future, work on the TAPI project will start from Herat, and the people of Herat will be the first to benefit from this project.

He said that in addition to the TAPI project, the fifth phase of the industrial park in Herat Province will also be started. An industrial town will be built in the area of Pul-e-Hashemi, and the work of the Pashdan and Shendand dams will also be restarted in the near future.

The participants of the gathering also expressed their satisfaction with the behavior of the civil and military officials of the IEA and said that they are happy that the whole of Afghanistan has been ruled by a complete Islamic system and that Afghans have their own authority and position.
