The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs met with the chairman of “Plant for Peace”

Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, met with James Brett, the founder and chairman of “Plant for Peace” NGO. In this meeting, the two sides discussed investments in agriculture, mining, and the development of barren lands in Afghanistan.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund said that we want such investments, through which Afghanistan can become self-sufficient and economically independent.

James Brett, said that: "Our goal is to solve the economic problems of millions of Afghans, and our investments can resolve the Afghan crisis in the long run; therefore, we need to have the agreement of Afghan government to work in this sector”.

The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs assured Mr. James Brett of the IEA's cooperation in this regard.
