Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, traveled to Balkh province to visit the Qosh Tepa canal. During the visit to the said canal, the DPMEA was accompanied by the DP Minister for Administrative Affairs, Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Maulvi Najibullah Haqqani, the DM of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Maulvi Sadar Azam, the DM of Interior, Mohammad Ibrahim Sadr, the DM of Health, Maulvi Mohammad Ishaq, the Vice President of DAB, Noor Ahmad Agha, Nangarhar Governor, Haji Gul Mohammad, Balkh Governor, Maulvi Mohammad Daud Muzamil, Samangan Governor, Maulvi Abdul Ahad Fazli, Balkh Corps Commander, Maulvi Matiullah and other high-ranking government officials. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, while visiting the said canal, said: “The purpose of our visit is to see the work progress of the Qosh Tepa Canal. Alhamdulillah, the work is progressing as planned thanks to the proper management of the NDC. On his visit to the Qosh Tepa Canal, Mullah Baradar Akhund stated that the IEA is dedicated to the Qosh Tepa Canal Project and that one of the goals of their visit was to assure the nation that they are dedicated to the completion of this project at any cost. In the end, Mullah Baradar Akhund commended the project's authorities for their efforts and provided them with the critical feedback they needed to continue improving the job.
