Proposal for Establishing Commercial Market in Sar-e-Pul Province Deemed Approval

The Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee held its regular meeting on May 19, 2025, at the Marmarin Palace. In accordance with the agenda, two proposals were presented for discussion: the construction of a commercial market on municipality land in Sar-e-Pul province, and the extension of electricity to the Qarqeen and Kham Ab districts of Jawzjan province.

After comprehensive discussions and taking the members' opinions into account, the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee declared the proposal for establishing a commercial market on municipality land in Sar-e-Pul province as approvable. The private sector is expected to invest 52 million Afghanis in this commercial market, which will consist of a total of 62 shops. The proposal has been referred to the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Office for final approval.

Regarding the proposal for extending electricity to the Qarqeen and Kham Ab districts of Jawzjan province, a designated committee has been assigned to evaluate all aspects of the project and share its report with the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee.
