Technical Committee of Economic Commission Reviews Key Infrastructure Projects and Financing Plans
During the routine session of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission, convened on February 5 at Maramarin Palace, various economic matters were deliberated as per the agenda. The meeting included a detailed presentation of the initial feasibility study report for the second phase of Kamal Khan Dam. Following an extensive discussion, a dedicated committee comprising representatives from the Ministries of Water and Energy, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, and the National Development Corporation was entrusted with the responsibility of conducting in-depth technical assessments of the feasibility study, incorporating prior analyses, and presenting the findings to the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission.Furthermore, deliberations encompassed financing considerations for the inaugural phase of the fourth segment of the Herat-Khaf railway project. After thorough assessment, it was resolved that the Ministry of Finance would formulate a distinct proposal for the leadership of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to secure funding for the project. This decision has been forwarded to the Economic Commission for final determination.
