The sectors of energy, water management, infrastructure, and transport have the potential to significantly expand the country’s industry, agriculture, and trade. During the current Solar year )1403(, the Islamic Emirate has launched several projects in the energy sector, particularly focusing on solar energy and electricity generation from gas. Energy production is essential for Afghanistan, as the country is dependent on other nations for energy. Through these projects, the Islamic Emirate aims to meet domestic energy needs and accelerate economic growth.

Water management and the provision of water for agricultural lands are among the Islamic Emirate’s top priorities, and substantial steps have been taken in this regard. The Islamic Emirate has assessed major and medium-sized dams nationwide that had either been incomplete or had yet to be started. Comprehensive work plans have been developed to complete these dams, and during this solar year, work on the Pashdan Dam in Herat, the Palatuni Dam in Paktika, and the Agha Jan Dam in Uruzgan was initiated. Additionally, the Omari Dam in Zabul was inaugurated for use.
