Approval Given for Draft Policies on Salt and the Processing & Export of Mineral Materials

The regular meeting of the Economic Commission’s Technical Committee was held on March 3, 2025, at Marmarin Palace. As per the agenda, the draft policy on salt, the draft policy on the processing and export of mineral materials, and the activation of the existing cold storage facility at Shorab Civil Airport in Helmand province were presented for discussion.

Following a comprehensive discussion, approval was given for the draft policies on salt and the processing and export of mineral materials. The relevant ministries were instructed to incorporate the input of the Ministry of Water and Energy into these draft policies and submit them to the Economic Commission for final decision-making.

Regarding the activation of the cold storage facility at Shorab Civil Airport in Helmand province, it was decided that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce would select a qualified company for the activation of the facility and submit the contract to the Economic Commission for approval.
