Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund’s Speech at the Eid Prayer Ceremony in Ghor
In the name of Allah, the most merciful and compassionate!
Officials of Ghor province, scholars, tribal leaders, people's representatives, and affected citizens, Peace, God’s mercy, and blessings be upon you all.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on this Eid to the Amir Ul Momineen of the Islamic Emirate, our esteemed Mujahideen, the families of the martyrs who fought for the end of occupation and independence, the courageous Afghan people, and the entire Islamic Ummah.
May Allah accept our Eid sacrifices, charity, prayers, and supplications. May He also accept the Hajj, Umrah, Tawaf, and prayers of Muslims worldwide, especially prayers for the people of Palestine.
It brings me great joy to be with you today on this blessed occasion. May these days be filled with God’s mercy.
The leader of the Islamic Emirate, Amir Ul Momineen, has instructed all officials to show solidarity with those citizens who have endured personal and financial losses due to the recent floods and those whose agricultural lands have been devastated.
The officials of the Islamic Emirate have tirelessly worked to respond to this directive. Following His Excellency Amir Ul Momineen's guidance, they promptly reached out to the flood victims and provided necessary assistance.
Today, as a testament to this commitment, I stand beside you along with other officials. We are united in our efforts to support our vulnerable citizens and help them overcome their challenges.
Four days ago, I arrived in Ghor with the purpose of aiding and empathizing with the citizens affected by the recent floods. My visit aims to enhance coordination among the organizations and institutions involved in relief efforts, address the problems faced by flood-affected citizens, and assess the performance of the appointed committees.
Over the past few days, I have held meetings with provincial officials, scholars, tribal leaders, and residents from various districts and regions. I listened to their problems and closely examined the financial and personal damages they suffered.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has initiated the implementation of national projects across the country. One notable project is the construction of the East-West Corridor road, which will connect Herat, Ghor, Bamyan, Daikundi, and Maidan Wardak provinces to Kabul via land transport.
In conclusion, we assure you that the Islamic Emirate will continue to support you until all existing problems are resolved and your lives return to normalcy.
