In a meeting of the Economic Commission chaired by the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the proposal for the construction of a cold storage facility and factory on land belonging to the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock in the center of Ghazni Province was approved.

Afghanistan is an agricultural country; however, due to the lack of cold storage facilities, the imposition of seasonal tariffs by neighboring countries on agricultural products, and the closure of trade routes, the national economy, agricultural products, and farmers have suffered financial losses. To address these challenges, every company or individual entrepreneur investing in the construction of cold storage facilities will be granted a five-year tax exemption.
