The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, met today—October 15, 2025—in his office with representatives of several Russian companies.
The representatives of the Russian companies stated that they are ready to invest in Afghanistan in the areas of oil, zinc, copper, and chromite exploration and extraction, water management, electricity generation, and the production of technical machinery. They added that, in order to facilitate coordination with relevant authorities, they plan to establish their representative office in Kabul in the near future.
The Deputy PM welcomed the interest of Russian companies in investing across various sectors and assured them of full cooperation.
