Kabul and Tehran Expand Cooperation in the Production of Medicines and Medical Supplies

Today, December 3, 2025, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, met in his office with Mehdi Pir-Salehi, Deputy Minister of Health of Iran and Head of the Food and Drug Administration, and Ali Reza Bikdeli, the Ambassador of Iran to Afghanistan.

During the meeting, the Iranian Deputy Minister of Health stated that Iran is ready to expand its long-term cooperation with Afghanistan in the production of medicines and medical supplies and in increasing their exports to Afghanistan. Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund expressed his appreciation to the Iranian side and assured that the relevant institutions of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan would provide full cooperation and engage in joint efforts in the mentioned fields.
