Contract Signed for Electricity Supply Project to Qosh Tepa and Darzab Districts of Jawzjan Province

In the presence of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, today, December 23, 2025, at the Government Media and Information Center, a contract was signed between the Ministry of Water and Energy and a private company for the implementation of an electricity supply project to Qosh Tepa and Darzab districts of Jawzjan Province.

 

The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately AFN 1.886 billion, and its implementation will be completed within three years. The project includes the construction of 85.24 kilometers of 220-kilovolt transmission lines, as well as the establishment of two substations and two distribution networks in Qosh Tepa and Darzab districts. Upon completion, the project will provide electricity to thousands of households.
