Discussion on Solar Power Generation and Commercial Market Projects at the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee
The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held today, Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace. During the meeting, the proposal to construct an underground commercial market on property under the Kabul Municipality in the First District of Kabul city was presented for discussion. After detailed deliberations, a committee was assigned the task to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the proposal, taking into account the feedback from the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, and to submit its report to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee within the specified timeframe.
Additionally, the meeting discussed proposals for solar power generation and storage in batteries in the provinces of Farah, Daikundi, Ghor, Zabul, and Uruzgan. Following the discussion, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat was tasked to engage with the proposing company regarding a few of the designated provinces, conduct technical and comprehensive discussions, and submit a detailed report to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee within the set deadline.
