The Ministry of Finance’s Report on Revenue-Generating Opportunities Deemed Approvable

The regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission was held on August 11, 2025 at the Marmarin Palace. In this meeting, the Ministry of Finance presented its report on revenue-generating opportunities to the Technical Committee. Following a comprehensive assessment, the report was deemed approvable.

According to the report, the Ministry of Finance has identified 17 revenue sources which, if reactivated and properly managed, could generate tens of billions of Afghanis annually for the state treasury. The report was referred to the Economic Commission for decision-making.

The meeting also heard the report on the procedure developed regarding the implementation of approved urban plans and the allocation of existing plots within them. This procedure has been prepared by a joint committee and will be implemented after approval.
