Special Meeting of the Economic Commission Held

A special meeting of the Economic Commission was held today, Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace under the chairmanship of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs. During the meeting, discussions were held on the issues presented by the governors of the seven zones.
The meeting discussed reducing the unemployment rate in the country, improving and ensuring the timely implementation of economic projects, creating facilities for exports and imports, refining crude petroleum products, expanding the list of authorized imported medicines, expediting the approval of industrial zone maps, regulating and coordinating the process of leasing state-owned lands, addressing the increase in the prices of exported meat and expanding exports, as well as several other matters. Necessary decisions were adopted regarding the aforementioned issues.
