Discussion Held on Proposals for the Construction of a Residential Township and Commercial Markets in Kabul City

The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace.

During the meeting, several proposals were presented for discussion, including: the construction of an underground commercial market in Kabul’s District 1, stretching from Sepahi Gumnam Square to Jade-ye Maiwand and from Jade-ye Maiwand to Pul-e Yak Pesa-gi; the construction of a commercial market in District 1 of Kabul city; and the development of a residential township on Kabul Municipality land located behind the “Golden City” area in District 8 of Kabul.

Following deliberations, the proposals were referred to the relevant institutions for technical and financial assessments. These institutions were instructed to submit their reports to the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee within the specified timelines.
