The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, met with a group of eminent scholars from Egypt, Sudan, and Palestine. Mullah Baradar Akhund joined by the Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa and the Head of the General Directorate of Intelligence, Mullah Abdul Haq Wasiq, welcomed the delegation and added:" We appreciate you visiting and learning about the situation of the Afghan people. Muslims around the world especially scholars have always sympathized with their Afghan brothers and we are grateful for that." Afterwards, the leader of the delegation, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Saghir praised the Afghan people for their magnificent victory and called the jihad done by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan against the United States and NATO as an incredible triumph. They honored this victory not only for Afghans, but also for all Muslims. The delegation analogized Amir-ul-Mumineen Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hibatullah Akhundzadah Hafazahullah’s declaration of a general amnesty to that of Mecca and labeled it as a rare instance in world history. In the end, Mullah Baradar Akhund, in addition to thanking the scholars for their coming and spiritual support, said in his speech, "The true situation of Afghanistan has not been properly interpreted in the world and unfortunately the Western media is turning everything negative. I urge you to present a truthful image of Afghanistan to your nations and the rest of the Muslim world.”
