The Afghan-Kazakh Business Forum Opens!
April 25, marked the opening of the Afghan-Kazakh Business Forum in Kabul, led by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, and his counterpart, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sirek Zhumangarin. Mullah Baradar Akhund underscored the significance of this forum for fostering trade and industrial growth between the two nations, highlighting a previous forum held in Kazakhstan that resulted in multi-million-dollar contract signings. During the forum, a diverse array of Afghan and Kazakh products were showcased, enabling industrialists and entrepreneurs from both sides to forge agreements across various sectors and leverage each other's expertise. Emphasizing the investment opportunities available in Afghanistan, Mullah Baradar Akhund welcomed domestic, foreign, and notably Kazakh investors to explore various sectors, assuring them of comprehensive support from the Islamic Emirate. Additionally, he mentioned that during discussions with the delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, they deliberated on the railway project, slated to extend from Kazakhstan to Pakistan via Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. Stressing the significance of this endeavor to the Islamic Emirate, he pledged full cooperation in its execution. In closing, Deputy PM Mullah Baradar Akhund encouraged citizens to support not only Afghan goods but also Kazakh products showcased at the forum.
