National Procurement Commission Approves Six Projects Worth 3.8 Billion Afghanis

The regular meeting of the National Procurement Commission, chaired by the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, was held today, September 21, 2025, at the Marmarin Palace.
In line with the agenda, 30 projects were presented for approval. Following discussions, 20 projects were amended, and six projects with a total value of 3.8 billion Afghanis were approved.
Additionally, it was decided that a designated committee would negotiate with the winning companies regarding the costs of four projects and submit its report to the leadership of the National Procurement Commission.
The approved projects include the completion of the remaining construction works of the 200-bed hospital building in Kunar province, construction of a cold storage facility with a capacity of 600 metric tons in Paktika province, construction of a 25-kilometer road from Maimana city to Firdows district in Faryab province, and completion of remaining electricity supply and distribution projects in various provinces.
The approved projects will be financed by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
