The Ministry of Education’s Priorities Shared with Donors and International Organizations

Today, Monday, September 28, 2026, the Public Relations Directorate of the Office of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs held the second meeting to share the priorities of Afghanistan’s sectoral institutions with representatives of donors, international organizations, the United Nations, and development partners. The meeting was held at the Marmarin Palace.
During the meeting, the Ministry of Education’s priorities were shared with donors and international organizations. These priorities included the construction and rehabilitation of educational centers, improving the quality of education, strengthening the professional capacity of teachers, standardizing curricula, creating an appropriate and safe learning environment for students, facilitating access to education in remote areas, printing and distributing textbooks, and equipping educational centers. These priorities were identified based on the country’s actual needs so that future assistance and development cooperation could, to the greatest extent possible, be organized and coordinated within the framework of these priorities.
Representatives of donor organizations and international institutions considered the sharing of the Ministry of Education’s priorities highly important and stated that this would enable them to better organize and implement their future activities.
Sharing the priorities of the sectoral institutions of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with donors and international organizations will align priorities with resources, assistance with needs, and development with tangible outcomes.
