Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund led a government delegation to Nimroz province to oversee the completion of the Kamal Khan Dam project

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, led a government delegation to Nimroz province to oversee the completion of the Kamal Khan Dam project. The delegation included Foreign Minister, Maulvi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Deputy Minister of Water and Energy, Mujib Ur Rahman Umar, and Chairman of the National Development Corporation, Abdul Rahman Attash, among others. During the visit, the officials inspected the dam and its turbines and provided recommendations to the concerned officials on proper management of the project. In addition, Mullah Baradar Akhund got the views of the technical engineers regarding the control of the water and instructed the Ministry of Water and Energy to cooperate. Mullah Baradar Akhund referred to the project as national and vital and appreciated the efforts of the responsible authorities. The remaining works of the Kamal Khan Dam project are being carried out by the National Development Corporation, with the sub-canals, turbines, and dam structure expected to be completed in the near future. After the inspection, Mullah Baradar Akhund met with the governor of Nimroz and local officials to discuss water problems in the province and the timely supply of water to agricultural lands. He urged officials to serve their people with sincerity and honesty.
