22.75 MW Solar Power Project in Sarubi District of Kabul Gets Greenlight

The regular session of the Inter-ministerial Investment Committee took place at Marmarin Palace. During this session, a thorough discussion ensued regarding the investment proposals outlined in the agenda. Following an in-depth deliberation, the initiative put forth by Turkish 77 and Zolaristan companies to generate 22.75 megawatts of solar power in Sarubi district of Kabul province, was forwarded to the Economic Commission for final confirmation and approval. Furthermore, a resolution was reached during the meeting, mandating Balkh provincial authorities to designate suitable land in order to construct a modern and standardized terminal for coal loading and unloading in Balkh. The designated authorities are required to report their findings to the Inter-ministerial Investment Committee. In the same session of the inter-ministerial Investment Committee, Gulbahar Investment Group's proposals for gas-based electricity production and the construction of a business center in the Qaway-e-Markaz area of the second district of Kabul city were presented by the private sector. Committees were appointed to conduct economic, technical, and legal evaluations of these projects, with instructions to submit their reports to the committee within a two-week timeframe.
