The recent assembly of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission, convened on May 6, addressed various agenda items. Notably, discussions centered around the proposed protocols governing the utilization of local agricultural and livestock products, alongside strategies for promoting the use of domestic goods and services within mining ventures. During deliberations, there was an extensive review of the draft outlining procedures for leveraging domestic agricultural and livestock resources. Following a thorough assessment, it was resolved that the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Economy and Finance, and the Afghanistan National Standard Authority collaborate on refining this framework. Subsequently, the draft will be forwarded to the Directorate of Procurement within the General Directorate of Administrative Affairs for further enhancement. Moreover, to enhance and expand the policy concerning the integration of local products and services in mining endeavors, a task force was commissioned. This task force, operating under the auspices of the Directorate of Economic Affairs within the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, is mandated to convene joint sessions for strategic deliberations. The revised policy resulting from these consultations will be presented at the forthcoming meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission.
