ملي تدارکاتو کمېسیون د څه باندې یو میلیارد افغانیو په لګښت ۱۷ پروژې منظورې کړې

The regular meeting of the National Procurement Commission was held today, Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace, under the chairmanship of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs. In this meeting, 42 projects were presented for approval in accordance with the agenda.

After discussion, 17 projects worth more than one billion Afghanis were approved, while a number of amendments were made to 14 projects. Additionally, designated committees were assigned to review six projects, tasked with negotiating prices with the winning companies and submitting their reports to the leadership of the National Procurement Commission.

Contracts for two projects were cancelled because the winning companies were not willing to complete the projects at the agreed contract prices. It was decided that these projects would be re-announced for open bidding, and the winning companies would be referred to the Debarment Committee. Two other projects were also re-announced for open bidding due to the fact that the prices offered by companies during the bidding process were significantly higher than the estimated project costs.

Furthermore, regarding one project, the relevant authority was instructed to reassess the qualified companies and submit a report to the leadership of the National Procurement Commission.

The approved and amended projects include: construction of a dormitory building for Panjshir University; construction of a medical faculty building for Badakhshan University; the first and second phases of the road extending from Kunar to Nuristan; construction of general hospitals in Giro district of Ghazni province, Bandar district of Faryab province, and Spin Ghar district of Nangarhar province; as well as electricity supply and distribution projects in various provinces.

The approved projects are funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
