The 26th Meeting of the Economic Commission Held

The 26th meeting of the Economic Commission, chaired by Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, was held at the Marmarin Palace.

The meeting discussed in detail the long-term investment by Helmand Noshirwan Marble Company, the processing of thousands of metric tons of peas in the central silo, as well as the completion of the remaining work on the Pashdan Dam, and necessary instructions were given.

After a detailed discussion at the meeting, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock was instructed that 70774 metric tonnes of peas donated by India, which are currently stored in central silos, should be processed first and then distributed to the people in need.

At the meeting of the Economic Commission, in order to strengthen bilateral trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, a joint delegation of businessmen led by the Minister of Industry and Trade was instructed to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan and submit their report to the Economic Commission.

The meeting also discussed the completion of the remaining work on the Pashdan Dam in the Karokh district of Herat province. The Economic Commission, headed by Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, has instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Water and Energy to evaluate the completion of the remaining work on the dam by private sector investment and submit their report to the Economic Commission.

The Economic Commission also declared applicable the procedure developed by the Afghanistan Oil and Gas Corporation for the newly constructed oil pump stations. This procedure will be gradually applied to the old oil pumps over a period of two years.
