In the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Maulvi Najibullah Haqqani, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, along with private telecommunication companies, have entered into contracts valued at 365 million Afghanis. These contracts aim to provide telecommunication services in remote areas. During the signing ceremony, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund emphasized that the Islamic Emirate considers serving the nation as its responsibility. It strives to offer high-quality telecommunication services to citizens, along with other essential services. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund added that the Islamic Emirate has created a favorable environment for investment in Afghanistan and expressed appreciation for the efforts of national businessmen and investors who contribute to the economic growth of the country. As per the agreements, Afghan Wireless and MTN telecommunication companies will establish 33 sites in provinces such as Kandahar, Nuristan, Badakhshan, Uruzgan, Zabul, Kunar, Nangarhar, and Kabul. These areas are currently lacking access to telecommunication services. The designated companies will bridge this gap and provide the much-needed services to the local communities.
