Economic Commission Discusses Several Key Topics in its Regular Meeting

The regular meeting of the Economic Commission, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, was held at Marmarin Palace. As per the agenda, discussions were held on various designated topics. These included the draft procedure for utilizing domestic agricultural and livestock products, the use of Ghori Cement in construction projects, the transfer of land to customs facilities at Ghulam Khan in Khost Province and Spin Boldak in Kandahar Province, as well as several other matters.
After comprehensive discussions, the draft procedure for utilizing domestic agricultural and livestock products was approved and referred to the Prime Minister’s Office for final decision-making. This procedure aims to strengthen the economic growth of farmers and livestock owners while simultaneously creating market opportunities for domestic agricultural and livestock products. Under this plan, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the General Directorate of Intelligence, and eventually all government institutions and citizens will prioritize these products to meet their needs.
The meeting also reviewed and approved a report by the designated committee on the use of Ghori Cement in construction projects. Based on the report, recommendations were issued to relevant sectoral ministries, organizations, and citizens to prioritize the use of Ghori Cement in construction projects where its quality standards meet the requirements. Additionally, the management of the Ghori Cement Factory was advised to enhance its production capacity and ensure standardized production across all areas, with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency in the country’s cement sector. Currently, the Ghori Cement Factory produces 700 tons of cement daily, with a strong focus on maintaining quality standards.
After thorough discussions on the remaining topics, appropriate decisions were made.
The meeting concluded with prayers for prosperity and success.
