Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee Holds Regular Meeting
The regular meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee was held on February 3, 2026, at the Marmarin Palace. During the meeting, the Ministry of Finance presented its evaluation report on the proposed plans related to the Zahir Shahi Market located in the First District of Kabul city. After discussion, the report was referred to the esteemed leadership of the Office of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs for a final decision.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed the evaluation report of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology regarding the construction of a commercial market on land belonging to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Mazar-e-Sharif city. Following discussion, the report was approved. According to the report, the said land will be offered through an open bidding process for the purpose of constructing a commercial market.
The meeting of the Inter-Ministerial Investment Committee also discussed the proposed plan concerning the provision of services for obtaining and renewing license plates and registration documents for motorcycles and Zaranj (tricycle) vehicles. After discussion, it was decided that these services should be provided directly by the General Directorate of Traffic, and the proposed plan in this regard was rejected.
