MoU on TAPI Gas Purchase Signed Between Afghan Gas and Türkmengaz Companies

In the presence of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, and the National Leader of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, an MoU on the purchase of gas under the TAPI project was signed today, Monday, August,10, 2026, in Torghundi, Herat Province, between the Afghan Gas, state-owned company, and the Türkmengaz Company of Turkmenistan.
Under this MoU, the gas price, the determination of gas demand levels, and the gas distribution process will be specified.
