The distinguished government delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, returned to Kabul, on the 10th of November, following a six-day mission in the Islamic Republic of Iran. At a press conference held at Kabul International Airport, the Deputy PM highlighted the significant aspects of the visit, stating, "During our stay in Iran, we engaged with senior Iranian officials, toured Chabahar Port, and visited various industrial and manufacturing facilities. Our primary aim was to establish efficient and cost-effective channels for the import and export of Afghan goods to multiple foreign nations, thereby boosting Afghanistan's trade." Mullah Baradar Akhund emphasized the fruitful outcomes of the trip, revealing the signing of several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) encompassing trade, industry, transit, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, border affairs, health, transport, railways, communications, and information technology with both the Iranian government and the private sector. He expressed optimism about the substantial impact of these agreements on industry and commerce in both nations. The delegation, under Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund's leadership, has appointed working teams from both sides and set a one-month deadline to diligently pursue the implementation of these MoUs. Furthermore, officials at Iran's Chabahar port assured the Afghan delegation that Chabahar Port is now open for Afghanistan to conduct trade, import, export, and transit operations.
