The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, met with officials of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines and national businessmen to discuss financing for the extension of the 500-kilovolt power line from Shabarghan to Alwan Desert, and from Alwan to Arghandi, Kabul. During the meeting, Mr. Baradar Akhund emphasized the significant role that domestic industry plays in strengthening the country's economy. He requested the cooperation of these industries in financing major economic projects and providing job opportunities for Afghan citizens. The officials of the Afghanistan Chamber of Industries and Mines expressed their willingness to pay an additional 10% of their electricity bills to Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat to finance the remaining work of the extension of the power line. The funds will be deposited into a special account dedicated to completing the project. It's worth mentioning that the practical work on this project is set to commence in the near future.
