Chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the commission convened at Marmarin Palace for a routine meeting to deliberate on the presented projects as per the agenda. Out of the 28 projects brought to the table, contracts for 18 received approval. Contracts for 5 were referred to assigned committees for in-depth assessment, slated to be presented at the next NPC meeting for final approval. The remaining 5 projects were handed over to the Directorate of the National Procurement for a comprehensive contract evaluation, with a report to be shared with the head of NPC. These sanctioned projects span across various ministries, including National Defense, Interior, Finance, Public Works, Communications and Information Technology, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, and Kabul Municipality, accumulating to a total value of approximately 4 billion Afghanis.  Notable projects encompass the finalization of Chak Wardag Dam, extension of the 220 KV power line from Arghandi to Ghazni, installation of insulators for the 220 KV Noorul Jihad line in Herat and Tor Ghondi, reconstruction of the Shahr-e-Safa to Manja road, completion of the second lane of the Kabul-Logar road, provision of high-quality and fast internet services to citizens, and several others. The successful completion of these projects is anticipated to generate employment opportunities for thousands of citizens.
