The 24th meeting of the Economic Commission was held under the chairmanship of Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund. At this meeting, various issues were discussed in detail and necessary decisions were made. The Economic Commission has approved the decisions of a committee headed by the Ministry of Finance, which recently visited the Abu Nasr-e-Farahi port to address the problems of traders. According to the decisions, the Abu Nasr Farahi port transshipment route will be officially reopened for the time being in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.

The route was closed due to the importing of poor quality and smuggled goods. The Economic Commission also approved a scheme developed by the Ministry of Agriculture to prevent deforestation and timber smuggling following a comprehensive assessment.
