The proposal for establishing six agricultural farming complexes in four provinces has been approved

In the regular meeting of the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock presented a proposal for the construction of six agricultural farming complexes in the provinces of Herat, Helmand, Nangarhar, and Balkh. After comprehensive discussions, the proposal was approved by the Technical Committee, considering their recommendations, and referred to the Economic Commission for a final decision. These complexes will be constructed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock on 4,500 jeribs of land, at an estimated cost of around 549 million Afghanis.

Additionally, in the same meeting, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock presented a policy regarding the utilization of timber and secondary forest products from the country’s natural forests. After an in-depth assessment, this policy was also approved by the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission and forwarded to the Economic Commission for a final decision. Based on this policy, the cutting of timber in natural forests will be controlled, and essential steps will be taken for the rehabilitation of forests.
