Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, during his visit to Türkiye, participated in and addressed a conference orchestrated by Afghan expatriate investors residing in the country. In his speech, Mullah Baradar Akhund emphasized that the Afghans have been bestowed with divine blessings by liberating themselves from international occupation and attaining the comprehensive security they had yearned for over decades. He further elaborated that during the past two decades, the safety of Afghan citizens, especially national traders and investors, remained uncertain. However, with the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate, their security has been effectively restored, enabling them to conduct their business endeavors within a secure environment. The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs articulated in the conference that the re-establishment of a unified central system in Afghanistan has not only extended investment opportunities to the Afghan populace but also to foreign entities. A compelling instance of this lies in the collaborative contracts and investments undertaken by Asian and European investors, in conjunction with Afghan counterparts, in the Ghorian mine located in Herat. Within the context of this conference, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund expounded on the range of facilities provided by the Islamic Emirate to foster a conducive environment for investors. He highlighted the active participation of investor representatives in Economic Commission meetings, underscoring the commitment to bolstering economic growth. To expedite investor-related affairs and eliminate bureaucratic hurdles, a collective committee comprising representatives from all ministries and agencies has been instituted under the guidance of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs' office. Additionally, a preference is extended to domestic investors in mining extraction contracts. The guidance of His Excellency Amir Ul Momineen Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada is driving the establishment of the National Economic Advisory Board of Afghanistan, which includes the representation of businesspersons and investors. Concluding the meeting, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund reaffirmed that Afghanistan serves as a shared homeland for all Afghans, transcending geographical divisions, as well as considerations of ethnicity or language. He called upon Afghan investors residing in Turkey to reflect on the conditions and opportunities they anticipate in their homeland. With an ardent call to unite and collectively contribute to the nation's development, he aspired to emancipate the Afghan people from adversities and dependence on external aid.
