Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund traveled to Balkh to view the Qosh Tepa Canal's most recent construction development

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, visited Balkh province on the 8th of March, 2023 to visit the latest work progress of the Qosh Tepa Canal. During the visit, Mullah Baradar Akhund was accompanied by the Deputy PM for Administrative Affairs, Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Maulvi Najibullah Haqqani, the DM of Interior, Muhammad Ibrahim Sadr, the DM of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Maulvi Sadr Azam, Deputy Minister of Health, Maulvi Mohammad Ishaq, the Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank, Honorable Noor Ahmed Agha, Governor of Nangarhar, Haji Gul Muhammad, Governor of Samangan, Haji Abdul Ahad Fazli, Commander of 209 Al Fatah Corps, Muti Maulvi, the Executive Director of the National Development Corporation, Abdul Rahman Attash and some other senior government officials. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, while visiting the canal, said: “The purpose of our visit is to see the work progress of the Qosh Tepa Canal. Alhamdulillah, the work is progressing as planned thanks to the proper management of the NDC.” Mullah Baradar Akhund also stated that the IEA is dedicated to the Qosh Tepa Canal Project and that one of the goals of their visit was to assure the nation that they are committed to the completion of the project at any cost. The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs appreciated the efforts made by the National Development Corporation and the officials of this national project and gave them the necessary recommendations to further improve their work. The Qosh Tepa Canal, a significant national and economic project in the north of Afghanistan, will be finished in three phases, the first of which is expected to be finished by the end of July 2023 and has already reached 70% completion. About 300 companies, more than 4000 machinery, and 6500 people are currently working in this canal .After viewing the canal, Honorable Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund met with the provincial officials of Balkh and requested that they address the issues of the people promptly and work for them in various areas.
