Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, met with Hassan Kazemi Qomi, Iran’s Ambassador to Afghanistan. Also in attendance were Qari Din Muhammad Hanif, the Acting Minister of Economy, and Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, the Acting Minister of Information and Culture. The discussion encompassed both political and economic matters, alongside deliberations on bilateral collaboration across various sectors. During the meeting, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhun emphasized Afghanistan's steadfast commitment to non-interference in the internal affairs of other nations, reiterating their expectation of reciprocal respect. He underscored the establishment of an independent and unified governmental system in Afghanistan after decades of conflict, highlighting the nation's efforts to foster robust political and economic ties, particularly with neighboring countries. Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund urged Iran and neighboring nations to take proactive measures to fortify these relationships and thwart any attempts to undermine them. Iran's Ambassador in Kabul, Mr. Qomi, affirmed Iran's enduring status as a dependable neighbor to Afghanistan, one that consistently safeguards the political and economic interests of both nations. Mr. Qomi expressed Tehran's eagerness to collaborate with Kabul across various economic, agricultural, and industrial domains, as well as expand the railway infrastructure. He disclosed that technical teams from both countries were actively engaged in negotiations to further these objectives.
