On November 28th, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, inaugurated the commencement of oil extraction from eight new wells in the Amu oil field. The ceremony, attended by Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Sheikh Shahabuddin Delawar and Sar-e-Pul provincial officials, marked a significant step in the Islamic Emirate's commitment to balanced development across provinces. Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the Islamic Emirate's focus on balanced provincial development. He emphasized the inauguration of this crucial project in Sar-e-Pul province, foreseeing immediate benefits for its residents. Mullah Baradar Akhund announced plans for the construction of a well-equipped hospital, a standard road, and a water dam, aiming to generate employment opportunities for thousands and contribute to the country's economic growth. Expressing the importance of adherence to the contract, Mullah Baradar Akhund urged the contractor company to execute the project efficiently. He stressed the timely completion of the public benefit initiatives aligned with the needs of Sar-e-Pul province residents. With the activation of eight new wells in the Amu oil field, daily oil extraction is set to increase by 800 cubic meters. Future plans include the activation of ten more wells, contributing to the expansion of the workforce, currently involving 350 engineers and 550 workers in the Amu oil field.
