Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have signed 35 MoUs valued at $2.5 billion

The signing ceremony took place today, on the 16th of August, at the Afghanistan International Exhibition Center in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund and Uzbekistan’s PM Abdullah Aripov. Government officials and representatives from the private sectors of both countries also attended the event. The MoUs include 12 investment agreements valued at $1.4 billion and 23 trade agreements worth $1.1 billion. The implementation of these agreements is expected to strengthen economic ties between the two countries and significantly boost trade.
