Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Meets with the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan

During his visit to Uzbekistan, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the "Termez International Trade Center."  During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs expressed his gratitude for the commencement of activities at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kabul and urged the government and private sector of Azerbaijan to seize the investment opportunities available in Afghanistan and invest in various sectors. He assured that the Islamic Emirate fully supports these efforts and has established all necessary facilities in this regard. The Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, in his remarks, stated that his country is ready to reactivate the Lapis Lazuli Corridor to enhance its trade relations with Afghanistan and other regional countries. He also expressed interest in increasing the volume of exports and imports in trade with Afghanistan. Additionally, he showed eagerness to invest in the establishment of industrial factories in Afghanistan and mentioned that Azerbaijan is prepared to collaborate with the Islamic Emirate in the extraction of minerals. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized their commitment to continue joint cooperation in these areas.
