Regular Meeting of the National Procurement Commission Held

The regular meeting of the National Procurement Commission was held under the chairmanship of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs. The meeting took place today, June 18, 2025, at the Marmarin Palace.

In line with the agenda, 29 projects were presented to the National Procurement Commission for approval. After discussions, two projects were approved, 24 were amended, and two were cancelled. Additionally, it was decided that one project be referred to a designated committee to negotiate the cost with the winning companies and present a report in the upcoming session of the National Procurement Commission.

The amended and approved projects include: construction of the ramp at Ahmad Shah Baba International Airport in Kandahar Province, rehabilitation of rail and non-rail infrastructure of the Hairatan–Mazar-i-Sharif railway, construction of the first and second lots of the road extending from Kunar to Nuristan, rehabilitation of the Shamalan Canal in Nawa district of Helmand Province, installation of security cameras at customs offices across the country, and procurement of necessary equipment for electricity-related projects in various provinces.

These projects are being funded by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
