The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s Economic Policy Approved

The economic policy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was endorsed by the Economic Commission under the leadership of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, and formally approved by the esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin, (may Allah protect him).

This policy envisions “a developed and prosperous Afghanistan based on an Islamic economic system” and pursues the following objectives: creating a favorable environment for attracting and expanding investment, increasing domestic production and exports, raising employment levels and reducing poverty, ensuring sustainable economic development and growth, strengthening economic stability, prosperity, and Islamic social justice.

The economic policy will play an important role in coordinating the country’s economic activities, optimizing the use of resources, and supporting the private sector.
