Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund Traveled to Helmand Province to Participate in the Inauguration Ceremony of the Second Phase of the Kajaki Dam

Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, went on a trip to Helmand province on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the second phase of the Kajaki dam.
In addition to the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs; Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy PM for Administrative Affairs; Maulvi Abdul Latif Mansoor, Acting Minister of Water and Energy; Qari Din Muhammad Hanif, Acting Minister of Economy; Deputy FM for Political Affairs, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai; and some other senior government officials also participated in this ceremony.
During his speech at the ceremony, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund said: “Without a doubt, today we are in a province whose people have made unprecedented sacrifices during the last 20 years of Jihad. There is no example of their sacrifices in the whole of Afghanistan, except for two or three provinces.”
The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs added, "We appreciate the sacrifices and efforts of the people of Helmand and all Afghans, and we pray to Allah to accept all their sacrifices and efforts. Now that the complete Islamic system is in power in Afghanistan, the efforts of all the officials are to solve the problems of the people and to start and complete the big economic projects that provide employment to many people. In a very short time, today, in cooperation with Turkey, we are launching a large project for the welfare of the people of Afghanistan, based on which 100 megawatts of electricity will be added."
Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund added that the Islamic Emirate has full commitment and good programs for the development of the country. Recently, we have opened other big projects; a good example is the opening of the Afghan Invest (Is the name behind one of largest and diversified consortium in Afghanistan) in Kabul. We assure all citizens that we will have many positive economic developments in the near future.
This was carried out by 77 Insaat, a Turkish company. The second phase of the Kajaki Dam produces 100 megawatts of electricity, and with the activation of this phase, the power generation capacity of Kajaki Dam has increased to 151 MW.
