Organization of Islamic Cooperation: The international community has realized that the situation in Afghanistan has improved

Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, First Deputy Prime Minister, met with Tariq Ali Bakheet, Special Representative from Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Afghanistan. The two sides discussed humanitarian assistance, women's education, security, fight against corruption, and the launch of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
The First Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for organizing a meeting on Afghanistan issues in Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of providing humanitarian assistance to Afghans. Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund also welcomed the decision of the organization to open its embassy in Afghanistan.
The OIC Special Representative for Afghanistan said that the international community has now realized that serious steps have been taken against corruption in Afghanistan and the situation is improving day by day.
He added that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) consider Afghanistan as an important member country, and will organize another OIC meeting on Afghanistan in Pakistan in the near future. Tariq Ali added that the meeting would be held at the level of the foreign ministers of the member countries of the OIC, among other important issues, the meeting will include the opening of a fund for humanitarian assistance to Afghans.
Mr. Tariq Ali Bakheet said they are working with the Islamic Development Bank on joint plans to promote women's education in Afghanistan, through which they will send female teachers and will teach Afghan women.
