The meeting was held between the two sides at the ARG on Tuesday, during which economic and political issues were discussed. The first Deputy PM, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, said that humanitarian aid alone could not solve the problems of Afghans. If the countries of the region and the world want Afghans to get out of this predicament, then in addition to freeing our frozen money, they should also implement major economic projects here.

Mr. Beradar called on the Uzbek side to return to the IEA the helicopters and military equipment seized from Afghanistan during the fall of Kabul, which belong to the nation. The Uzbek side said they are talking to the international community about Afghanistan's frozen money and are ready to implement major economic projects in Afghanistan.

The head of the Uzbek delegation, Ismatullah Irgashev, added that they would decide on returning helicopters and military equipment in the light of international laws.

At the end of his speech, Mullah Beradar Akhund said that conditions are now ripe for investment in Afghanistan and countries in the region, including Uzbekistan, should not associate the start of economic projects with the recognition of the new government.
