The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, had a meeting in his office today with a number of scholars and tribal chiefs from the Badakhshan province.

The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs called the sacrifices of the residents and the Mujahideen of Badakhshan Province unique for the end of the 20-year occupation and the establishment of the Islamic system. He added that, with the help of Allah, an independent Islamic system is currently ruling in Afghanistan, under which all Afghans live peacefully.

Maulvi Mujeeb-ul-Rahman spoke at this meeting on behalf of others, stating that the people of Badakhshan fully support and obey the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He also discussed Badakhshan's citizens' problems in an effort to find solutions.

The Deputy PM for Economic Affairs gave the scholars and tribal chiefs of Badakhshan province the assurance that, in addition to addressing other issues, the province's current hospital would be expanded to better serve the needs of its residents.
