According to the order of Amir al-Mu'minin Sheikh Hibatullah Akhundzada and under the leadership of the Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Hajji Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund, the beggar collection committee collected 3048 beggars from different areas of Kabul city until September 3, 2022.

2109 of the beggars that were collected were female, and after evaluation, 629 of them were determined to be deserving, while 1480 others were found to be professional beggars. After evaluation, 60 of the 283 males were found to be deserving, and 223 of them were professional beggars. 656 of them are children, of which 269 are deserving and 370 are professional beggars. Among the deserving beggar children, there are 17 unaccompanied children who were sent to a care and training center by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

It is worth mentioning that all eligible beggars have been sent to the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) and they have been given necessary assistance by the responsible organizations.
