On April 29, the Technical Committee of the Economic Commission convened at Marmarin Palace for its regular session. Among the agenda items, extensive deliberations took place regarding the digitization of vehicle permits and driving licenses, alongside several other pertinent topics. Following a thorough exchange of views during the meeting, considering the workload of the National Statistics and Information Authority, it was proposed to the Economic Commission that the responsibility for digitizing vehicle permits and driving licenses be transferred to the General Directorate of Traffic. The General Directorate of Traffic, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, is recommended to initiate the process for vehicle permits and driving licenses expeditiously through public-private partnership. Subsequently, the proposal will be presented to the Economic Commission for approval.
